The Christmas Project
Following the release of The Christmas Project’s debut album “Comfort & Joy” last year, Dutch musicians Henk Kraaijeveld and Jan Willem Delft have joined with UK musician Clare Wheeler to create a piece of music that we hope can express some of the grief and sorrow we feel for our world, as well as invoking some hope for the future.
The Coventry Carol recounts the Massacre of the Innocents from Matthew’s gospel. In his desperation to retain power and control, King Herod commands the slaughter of every young boy under the age of two. This song depicts the heartbreaking lament of the mothers who know they will lose their children to the violence of the King.
Façades
Façades is a new London-based contemporary a cappella ensemble, bringing together four of the leading vocalists from the UK and European music scene.
This dynamic group features the inimitable talents of Fini Bearman, Brigitte Beraha, Lauren Kinsella, and Clare Wheeler. Individually renowned for their award-winning compositions and songwriting skills, Façades is dedicated to creating and performing original music that captivates and inspires.

Past projects
Clare grew up in East Africa singing in her church gospel choir, before pursuing classical singing at Chethams School of Music and later on jazz singing.
As well as over a decade singing with internationally renowned vocal group The Swingles, Clare is known as a jazz singer as well as contemporary choral singing. Her diverse love of music attracts her to a varied performing career.
