One-on-One Coaching

Clare’s vocal studio is now open for one-on-one coaching either via Zoom or in person in Guilford. If you’re a professional singer who is interested in working on vocal technique, improvisation, composition, or arranging, or you’re a student preparing for a jazz voice audition, get in touch with Clare via her contact form.

"“Clare teaches, writes and performs not from a place of ego, but of love for the craft, and this passion is an inspiration for both her students and her bandmates." Kevin Fox, Formerly The Swingles

Left to right: Four workshop students, and Clare Wheeler. The student on the far left wears a white and teal hoodie, and looks intently at Clare. Partially obscured, the student next along wears a pink T-shirt with part of a design visible, and a red hair bandana. Their arms are folded. The next student has her eyes closed and is looking slightly to the left, smiling with a broad grin. She is wearing a plaid button up shirt, in teal, dark blue, and white. She has a black and white hair bandana. The next student looks at the camera with his hands together. He is wearing a purple T-shirt with an image of a beared man with long hair on it, and jeans. Clare is looking to the left and gesturing with her hands in front of her, palms upwards. She has her hair tied back, is wearing simple drop earrings and has a T-shirt with a lion roaring on it. Part of the text can be made out: 'Roar'. They stand in a room with pink walls.

"Clare inspired a roomful of nervous singing workshop partcipants to step forward and improvise! Her encouragement and musicianship brought out creativity and confidence in people they never knew they had in them. That is her gift." Anna Tabush, Founder of SingFest

Clare Wheeler stands in the middle of a partial circle of seated people. She is wearing a lanyard, purple long sleeved top, grey trousers and beige boots. She is gesturing with her hands in front of her apart and just above waist height, palms facing inward. To the right of he image there is a banner behind seated people, with 'Military Wives Choirs' written on it. Top right text overlay on image: @militarywiveschoirs and 'Improvising with @_clarewheeler'. Bottom left there is text overlay #singsharesupport.
Gareth Malone is to the left and Clare Wheeler is to the right. Gareth is taller than Clare and has his left hand on her shoulder. It is mostly their faces in the frame. Gareth is wearing dark round spectacles. Both are smiling at the camera. Gareth is wearing a dark denim button up shirt.
